Tags enable you to categorise your blog posts, making it easier for your blogs to be found in searches. Watch this quick guide on how to add tags to your blog post content.
In this video I'm going to guide you through how to add tags to a blog post on your Volcanic website.
First of all, you will need to locate the blog you would like to add tags to. To do this, in the top menu of your admin screen go to Your Website, and then within the content section, go to Blogs.
If you are creating a new blog, you would click the new button here. Or, if you want to add tags to an existing blog, you will find a list of your blog posts here. If you need to, you can search for the blog post you're looking for by typing the title into the search bar. Once you've found the right one, click on the edit icon.
Whether this is a new blog or an existing one, you will always find the tags via the tag list field at the bottom of the blog page.
Now if you have access to the tag manager feature and your tag manager is switched on, you will only be able to choose from the list of tags that have been set up in the Tag Manager. So if you cannot find a suitable tag from the presented list, or your tag list is empty, new tags can be added via the Tag Manager pag - which you can find in the Your Website menu, and within the Content section.
Now if your tag manager is switched off, you can add tags directly to the blog post - but remember to make sure your tags contain only 1 to 2 words, like so, and reflect the main points of the blog.
