Searching or filtering jobs by salary is a common way candidates use to find the jobs that they're looking for.
In this video i'm going to talk to you about how you can setup salary ranges on your recruitment website. In the top menu in your admin screen, go to Settings and then within the Reference Data section you will find the Salaries page.
Here you will find the list of salary ranges you have already added, and you can add a new range by clicking the NEW button in the top right corner. Adding a new range is simple.
Simply enter the name, define both the lower and the upper end of the salary range, make sure you only define this in numbers. You can then select with this salary is per day, per week, per month or per year. You can add a permalink, or you can leave it blank so that it is generated automatically from the salary name. Once you're done, click submit and your new salary will be added.
Now it is worth noting that updates to salary ranges are not retroactive, so any changes made to salary ranges will only apply to new jobs, unless existing jobs are refreshed to include the new updates. So, be wary of this when adding new salaries to your website.
Once you have added Salary ranges, make sure you add this as a filter in the Job Search settings page to ensure that visitors can search for jobs by salary.
To do this, go to the settings menu, within the site section go to job search and within the filters box you will be able to add salaries as a search filter. Once you're done, click submit and your website visitors will be able to filter jobs by salary.
