Hello from Rebecca
We are in the final stretch of the year and Christmas is fast approaching. We are looking to reach out to all clients to book in calls and meetings so please feel free to contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we can discuss the exciting roadmap we have in place for 2020!
On a personal note, I’ve just returned from Seville and had the chance to meet up with a member of our Support team for a catch up, which was fantastic!
It was incredible to see so many Volcanic clients at the TIARAs earlier in the month, congratulations to everyone who won and you all looked amazing.
We have Access World coming up on the 21st November which we are all really excited about! We would love to see as many of you there as possible. You will find registration details further down in this newsletter.
That’s all from me, hope you enjoy this month’s newsletter and as ever please feel free to reach out to us if you have any enquiries.
Much has been made about Indeed’s rumoured plan to stop the free traffic they provide to recruitment agencies. We’ve been speaking with customers and helping them plan for potential traffic drops for about 12 months now after they initially announced this plan for their US job board, indeed.com at the back end of 2018 (which subsequently happened in January 2019). We have seen clients who have as much as 95% of their candidate attraction coming from this free traffic so if Indeed do remove it, be prepared to experience a drop in candidate applications.
To help combat potential drops in traffic, we have been speaking with a number of different companies who focus specifically on candidate acquisition. We are delighted to announce our first partnership in this area. Talent Nexus, are a UK based provider of Programmatic Candidate Advertising and Inbound Recruitment Marketing. This partnership will help our clients optimise their candidate acquisition and marketing spend. One of the key drivers in partnering with Talent Nexus is their focus on Return on Investment.
We recently announced the release of Volcanic integrations with Access Recruitment CRM and Access RDB.
Our integrated customers can expect improved candidate data quality and time saved on data entry, allowing them to focus on what they do best - recruiting!
Adam Povall and Simon Barber provide a walkthrough of the features and benefits of the integration, check it out!
As you will now be familiar with, since its enforcement in May 2018, GDPR has drastically changed the way we are able to view and handle candidate data. The support team pre-GDPR were able to assist clients when investigating and solving support tickets by being able to be made a temporary admin user on a website to locate and view candidate and application information to provide the answers to a ticket request. Post-GDPR, all candidate data on a website is now inaccessible for any member of the Volcanic team. This does not mean that we will not be able to support you with your ticket request, it just means that the support team will need to guide the websites admin users through the required steps to gather the required information. If you have any questions about this, please contact email@example.com.
Recruitment Agency Expo Birmingham
The Volcanic team had a great couple of days at RAE, Birmingham. It was a fantastic opportunity not only to meet up with clients but also to catch up with partners and talk about our latest product Volcanic Go!
Looking forward to RAE London in Feb 2020, we hope to see you there! We will have a limited number of appointment slots with the Customer Success team for the London expo, so will be reaching out to you all closer to the time to arrange a catch up!
The TIARA Awards was a huge success this year for Volcanic clients - a huge congratulations to all of the winners!
Steve Barnhurst commented:
"The TIARAs exclusively recognise the largest and most dynamic UK recruitment firms which is why we are so proud to power the website and candidate attraction platform of so many winners this year! To be associated with some of the most successful recruitment agencies in what is an exceptionally competitive market is incredibly rewarding for everyone involved here at Volcanic. We'd like to thank all the winners for placing such an important part of their business in our hands and we wish them even greater success through the rest of 2019 and beyond".
