Hello from James
What a wonderful way to start the decade, with an exciting year ahead at Volcanic, it’s been absolutely great to get out and see so many of our clients this month to discuss their website plans and strategies for the coming year.
We’ll be kicking off February down at the RAE in London and I very much look forward to greeting those attending, please come over and say hello. I'm keen to book catch-up appointments with my clients, so please either contact me directly or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a time to meet.
We’ve also got another roundtable event just around the corner discussing the impact of losing Organic Traffic from Indeed, this time in Manchester! I’d strongly recommend this event to everyone, I attended the London event and it was really insightful.
To your continued success, see you all soon.
In a recent roundtable discussion, an interesting debate emerged about whether or not recruitment consultants should have control over job advertising spend, or whether it should remain in the control of recruitment marketers.
We felt this was a really interesting topic and we’d love to know your thoughts!
Hello from Rachael
I’m delighted to be on board at Volcanic, working with many familiar faces as both colleagues, clients and partners. With a career that spans recruitment operations, marketing and rectech, Volcanic really feels like the perfect fit for my skills and experience.
Joining the business it has been impressive to see the array of recruitment companies that we support. From smaller start-ups looking to impress with their first website, through growing companies looking to upgrade and improve their digital footprint, to the largest recruitment organisations such as Kelly Services, my former employer. My worlds are definitely colliding!
With a vision for every jobseeker to visit a Volcanic website, our focus in 2020 will be to ensure we continue to design, deliver and support the best web experience for you, your candidates and clients. Alongside the ongoing development of our web platform, we will also be integrating with more technologies and introducing new industry partners to enhance the value we deliver you. Watch this space for more details in the coming months. Meanwhile I look forward to catching up with some of you at RecExpo. Please let me know if you’re planning on being there - I’d love to meet for a coffee to hear about your website plans, marketing challenges and growth strategies.

Candidate attraction in a post-Indeed world - Manchester Roundtable
Back by popular demand! We're hosting another roundtable, this time at the delightful 20 Stories in Manchester. We'll be discussing the potential impact of Indeed switching off organic traffic to recruitment agencies, and methods you can start taking to combat potential drops in candidate traffic.
We'd love for you to join us!
New feature being rolled out in 2020: In-line manual
Over the next month, we have a new feature that will be rolled out gradually across our platform. It is currently in the testing phase, so if you notice the feature within your account please do try it out and provide feedback!
Inline manual is a new tool that will enable our clients to easily search for support and training content within their website admin. If the feature is available in your account, you will find a blue circular help button in the bottom right hand corner of your admin. The menu can be opened by clicking this button.
You will be able to search through FAQs, view product updates and easily log a support ticket.
We'd love to know how you find the feature, and if you have any feedback or suggestions for improvements, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Access Webinar: Reduce your risk of bad hires with background screening
Did you know that 11% of candidates completely make up their degree qualification? If your recruitment agency doesn’t have an automated screening process, there’s a much greater chance that these candidates could slip through the cracks.
Join The Access Group’s webinar on 27th February at 12:00pm to discover how an automated screening process could save you time, keep you compliant and protect your business’s reputation.
